| Legal Information |
- The Parrot Rescue Centre is privately owned and managed by
Zarita Garozzo and Jamie Carpenter and is solely run by the PRC
shop, bird boarding and donations. It does not recieve any financial
assistance from the government.
- All profits made by the Parrot Rescue Centre through its PRC
Shop, Bird Boarding, Virtual Adotpion, associated programs, Donations
and Workshops, are used to support the daily operations of the
PRC.
- All final decisions and communications in regards to the running
or promoting of the PRC need to be made by only Zarita Garozzo
or Jamie Carpenter
- All business enquires should be made directly in writing or
by phone communication to Zarita Garozzo and Jamie Carpenter only.
The Parrot Rescue Centre: |
- Rescue suffering, abused or unwanted parrots from abusive or
neglectful situations.
- Act as a placement service for friendly, tame birds whose guardians
have had to give up their bird(s) in urgent or emergency situations.
- Serve as an educational resource and advice service for: Future
bird guardians,Current bird guardians, Schools, as an educational
resource on the care and responsibilities of owning any animal
as a pet.
- Serve as a permanent sanctuary for birds not suitable for adoption.
- Act as a rehabilitation centre for suffering and abused parrots.
- Do not place birds with breeders who have not been approved
by the Parrot Rescue Centre’s criteria.
- Does not promote the business of breeders who do not pass the centre’s
criteria.
- Will not sell, trade, or use PRC surrendered birds for commerce
or profit.
- Does not breed PRC surrender Birds.
- Will promote responsible guardianship of all captive birds.
- Will promote education on all issues of avian welfare.
- Will provide a safe and clean environment for all birds.
- Will provide a high standard of care to the birds.
- Will provide a natural habitat for all birds
- Supports and encourages legislation protecting the rights,
health, and safety of birds living in captivity.
- Strongly opposes legal/illegal exportation/importation and
encourages all countries to adopt legislation, enforcement, and
conservation policies to prevent wild birds from entering captivity
- Will not euthanize any parrots unless strictly authorised by
an Avian Vet.
- Does not assume any liability for the content, materials, information
and opinions provided on The Parrot Rescue Centre Web Site or
email. Reliance on any such information is solely at your risk.
The Parrot Rescue Centre disclaims any liability for injury or
damages resulting from use of any information contained on The
Parrot Rescue Centre Web Site.

| Participants and Associates: |
- Must be willing to donate time, money or knowledge.
- Will not speak to any media unless given written permission
from management.
- Must agree to follow all rules and regulations or they will
be asked to leave the group should they break them

| PRC Participant Involvement
includes: |
- The ability to influence and input on the PRC decisions,
- Help educate the public on the appropriate ways to care for
companion pet parrots by referring them to the Parrot Rescue Centre
website, other educational sites and literature.
- Passing on any ideas that you may have on the proceedings of
the PRC.
- Help in the fostering and adopting of birds.
- Help with the PRC Newsletter publication
- Must not engage in any activity that would conflict with Parrot
Rescue Centre principles and goals.
- Must agree to collaborate with one another to support and promote
responsible social and legislative changes to improve the quality
of life for birds and other animals living in captivity.
- Must conduct all business and fundraising activities with integrity
and professionalism
- Must not engage in any illegal activities.
- The Parrot Rescue Centre does not encourage, promote, condone,
or tolerate violence against humans, other animals, or property.
Participants must not engage in any irresponsible actions that
put the lives of any humans or other animals at risk or damage
the property of others
- In spite of diverse views, Parrot Rescue Centre Participants
must treat other Parrot Rescue Centre participating individuals
and organizations with respect to promote the sharing of expertise
and resources to benefit both captive and wild birds.
- Must not disseminate gossip or rumours or make disparaging comments
about the efforts of other Parrot Rescue Centre Participants.
- Must demonstrate discretion when publicizing information about
pending Parrot Rescue Centre activities or Participants. Some
of our activities may require privacy during development to insure
success, and some of our Participants may need to remain anonymous
for professional reasons
- Should legitimate disputes or concerns arise within the group,
Parrot Rescue Centre Participants are asked to bring these issues
to a member of the Parrot Rescue Centre Management.
- Are not permitted to undertake business using the Parrot Rescue
Centre name or logo.

- The materials hosted on The Parrot Rescue Centre Web Site, emailed
and hard copy documents, including but not limited to images,
photographs, audio and/or video content, screen savers, illustrations,
and text, are protected by Australian and international laws regarding
copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets and other proprietary rights.
- Website and documents issued by the PRC should be used for personal,
non-commercial use only.
- You may not copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly
display or perform, republish, store, transmit or distribute any
of the material from the web Site or emailed documents in whole
or in part without the prior written consent of The Parrot Rescue
Centre, except as follows. You may store copies of such materials
temporarily in RAM and may store files that are automatically
cached by your Web browser for display enhancement purposes and
you may print a reasonable number of pages of The Parrot Rescue
Centre Web Site for your personal use; provided in each case that
you do not alter or remove any copyright or other proprietary
notices included in such materials. Neither title nor intellectual
property rights to any information or material in this site are
transferred to you, but remain with The Parrot Rescue Centre or
the applicable owner of such content.
- A participant does not have copyright and patent rights with
respect to any of the PRC materials.
- All documents representing the PRC should be signed and delivered
by Jamie or Zarita exclusively.
- Your failure to comply with the provisions of the above information
may result in the termination of your use of The Parrot Rescue
Centre Web Site and documents and may expose you to civil and/or
criminal liability.
