The PRC receives many enquiries for exotic species such as Amazons, Macaws and African Greys, the reality is that such species rarely, if ever, become available for adoption in Australia due to their high demand in the general market place.

Adoption candidates are primarily Australian parrot species such as native cockatoos (Sulphur crested cockatoos, Galahs, Corellas, Lorikeets, Cockatiels and other Neophema parrots.), as well as a small number of non-native parrots that occasionally become available, such as Indian Ringnecks, Alexandrines, Quakers and Sunconures.

If you would like to adopt a pet parrot from the PRC please read the attached Pre-Adoption Considerations Information document to continue the adoption process CLICK HERE!
